There is an organization called the International Association of Professional Writers and Editors. The IAPWE is a wonderful place to learn about all sorts of amazing opportunities. More importantly, it’s hard to get in. Well, I got in. And I’m absolutely thrilled about it because it finally helps put me one step closer to being “on the map” with my writing career.
Back in July I provided a submission with them and four days ago, I finally heard back from them. It was a great moment for me and really, it was some news that I had been waiting on. Taking the leap to start writing professionally can be a bit scary. But I needed to make that jump knowing that my submission might get rejected. So here I am, a little over a month later to share the great news with my readers.
When your self-esteem has been affected by negative events during your lifetime, it can be really difficult to see any sort of success inside oneself. Sometimes we need to just take a leap of faith (in ourselves) and do what scares us the most. We are a work in progress and healing takes time. Be proud of the little accomplishments so that when a big one comes along, you will feel totally okay with celebrating it. This is where I am tonight. And it is huge for me because I have always stifled my passion for writing. I never thought it was good enough to compete with others out there. Now I realize that my writing doesn’t have to. I write for me. I write to tell my story, and I use my own words to do it in the way that I feel is best. For that – I strongly believe that my work will stand on its own merits and that is quite simply, enough for me.
These are in fact wonderful ideas in on the topic of blogging.

Thank you so very much. I’ve taken some much needed time off for the last two years to reflect and to contemplate on life. I underwent a weight loss surgery, got rid of a bad relationship, worked in a manufacturing plant making brakes for a motorcycle company and met the love of my life. It’s all been very exciting.
